Mini-Review
Alice, popular rich girl and Agatha Christie superfan, has been exiled from her friendship group and lost her boyfriend to her former best friend Brooke. But then Brooke goes missing under mysterious circumstances and only Alice and Iris, her not-popular, not-rich, A-grade student tutor, take her disappearance seriously. They team up to solve the mystery, inspired by Christie’s super sleuths Poirot and Miss Marple. This is a well written, often funny, entertaining YA mystery novel with plenty of mystery genre features. Should keep teenage (and adult) readers quite entertained.
Fyi: domestic violence, parental neglect, a few f-words, mild sexual references, underage drinking, drugging, minor drug references, attempted bullying, minor references to potential kidnapping, minor references to gambling, accidental death, physical assault.
