Violet Black has been very sick with M-fever, a new pandemic beginning to sweep the globe. They thought she’d die. Not only does she live, she’s got enhanced mental powers… and so does Ethan, a boy in the same situation. But now some mysterious organisation wants to take them from their families and test their new abilities…

Set in a slightly futuristic New Zealand (as well as Australia and Berlin), this book is an enjoyable sci-fi/dystopian/adventure romp with bonus teen romance vibes. First in a trilogy. Can definitely see teens enjoying this.
