Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone by Benjamin Stevenson

Mini-Review

A very meta-murder mystery. This was publicised as “Knives Out meets Thursday Murder Club”, both of which I love, so I borrowed it asap. I enjoyed the (many) metafictional references, but it may not suit everyone. Quite amusing at times, a little gruesome at others. There were some spots where it got a bit bogged down in detail, but it certainly got page-turn-y towards the end. Recommended for murder mystery fans – others might find it a bit much.

Fyi: violent deaths, accidental deaths, kidnapping, suicide, jail, family dysfunction, divorce, addictions
