The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzie Lee

Mini-Review

Highly recommend this witty historical adventure romance. Well written with great imagery and zippy dialogue. Set in the 1700s with the gorgeous, rakish and bisexual Henry Montague (Monty) going on tour with his best friend and secret crush Percy. Younger sister Felicity is tagging along to be reluctantly escorted to finishing school in Marseilles. Monty’s grand tour gets pushed off course by a series of swashbuckling adventures. Very minor fantasy elements (alchemy). The audio book is excellent, with the narrator doing all the different voices beautifully.

Fyi: characters experience racism, homophobia, psychological/violent abuse & ignorant treatment of neurological conditions. Also includes injuries, deaths, mild sexual references.
