I highly recommend this vampire book: well written, adventurous, keeps you guessing, romantic. In an alternate contemporary world where vampirism is rampant, Tana survives a vampire massacre but might be infected. She starts off on a cross country trip with her infected ex-boyfriend and a mysterious boy vampire towards a Coldtown – a walled city of vampires, infected people, and those humans unfortunate or deluded enough to be trapped there.

The audiobook is good – narrator has a good, non-annoying, expressive voice, and it also includes some atmospheric music at the end of chapters or tense moments.
