Mini-Review

I do love a book about books! This is a very enjoyable book about the art of writing book blurbs (subtitle: An A-Z of Literary Persuasion), written by a copywriter for Penguin Books.

The (short) chapters include:

• ‘Come and Have a Go if You Think You’re Hard Enough: Literary Fiction’ (How do you blurb a book in which nothing really happens?)
• ‘Simply Wizard! Blurbing Blyton’
• ‘What Women Don’t Want: Sexist Blurbs’

Well written and amusing—highly recommended for book lovers!
