Mini-Review
Lucy Carlyle is an agent – a licenced ghost hunter in an alternative England in which there’s a haunting epidemic, known as the Problem. No one knows what started it, but as only children and teens have the psychic sensitivity needed to detect ghosts, many are employed by large psychical detective agencies, under adult supervision. Lucy works for Lockwood & Co. – London’s smallest agency and the only one run completely by young people: swashbuckling Antony Lockwood, ace researcher George Cubbins & Lucy, a highly talented Listener. This book is about some of their adventures and mishaps, with lots of funny bickering & banter along the way.
Loved this! Fyi: some fat jokes; supernatural thrills; a bit of violence. Still very appropriate for years 7 & 8. Series on Netflix.
