Mini-Review
The sequel to Only a Monster… Joan managed to save her family and destroy ‘the hero’, Nick: but now she’s in an alternate timeline where Nick, her love, doesn’t know her at all, and Aaron, her monster friend, doesn’t either—and becomes a deadly enemy. Then Joan stumbles on a terrible secret about the entire monster world…
This was good, but the pacing was off. The first half or so was fairly slow, but the last part of the novel was gripping and reminded me of what I loved about the first novel. Here’s hoping that Book 3 will be a page-turner all the way through!
