Mini-Review
Set in invented medieval times, hundreds of years after the Knights of the Round Table, Princess Gwen has been betrothed to Arthur, son of her father’s key ally, since she was a baby. Trouble is, they can’t stand each other. They’re now 18 and 19, and expected to marry. But then Gwen catches Art kissing a stable boy, and Art finds Gwen’s breathless diary entries about the only female knight in the realm. Maybe they can come to some sort of arrangement?
Very well written, hilarious & romantic, with witty dialogue, well rounded characters, and some unexpected sword action in the final quarter. Fairly minor occasional swearing and some sexual innuendo, but otherwise pretty PG. Highly recommended.
