Mini-Review
Izzy is an outspoken, modern, bit-of-a-slacker Japanese American teenager living a normal life with her single mum, when she finds out that her mysterious and absent father is the Crown Prince of Japan. She flies to Japan and learns about court life… but it’s difficult to be posh, traditionally Japanese royalty, and she keeps stuffing up. And then there’s her annoying and annoyingly handsome security guard, Akio…
I really enjoyed this very funny (with a touch of romance) book, with its fascinating insights into Japanese culture. It’s a Japanese The Princess Diaries. Highly recommend!
